The Journals of Gerontology, Series A: Biological Sciences and Medical Sciences
The Journals of Gerontology were the first journals on aging published in the U.S. The tradition of excellence in these peer-reviewed scientific journals, established in 1946, continues today. The Journals of Gerontology, Series A publishes within its covers The Journal of Gerontology: Biological Sciences and The Journal of Gerontology: Medical Sciences. At least twice a year, The Journals of Gerontology, Series A publishes a Translational Articles series, which focuses on “biology-to-bedside” issues. Each issue contains an article in the Editor's Choice series, representing a paper that the editor sees as providing an especially significant contribution to the field of gerontology. These articles are available free to non-subscribers. A small collection of frequently-cited articles that have enhanced the journal's impact factor also is open to the public.
